Radiance Aroma Review

Calvin Klein Obsession

I really do love Calvin Klein’s Obsession for men; it’s a very rich, warm fragrance, with loads of spice, making it the perfect Fall fragrance. I always get a ton of compliments when I wear it, and have been told way more than once that it’s very sexually appealing. Released in 1986 at the height of Calvin Klein’s popularity, it won a FiFi award a year later, which is basically the Oscars for the fragrance industry. Obsession conceptualizes the passion and unapologetic masculinity that defined 80’s fragrances. Its top notes are a blend of Cinnamon, Citrus, Lavender, and Coriander, evoking that instant spice that people love about Obsession. Its middle notes only enhance the warm, smoky signature that defines this fragrance, with notes of Myrrh, Nutmeg, Carnation, Jasmine, Pine, Sage, and Rosewood, creating the velvety heart of sensuality it embodies. The base is a resinous undertone of Amber, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Musk, Patchouli, and Vetiver that rounds off the warmth of this fragrance that lingers long into the day.  Obsession stands out rather than blends in, is rich and statement-making, masculine and complex, and a fragrance that has tested time and proven to be resilient over the decades since its conception.
