Versace Pour Homme is by far the quintessential \u201cblue\u201d fragrance in my opinion. Fresh, clean, and captures the feel of a cool Spring rain on a Mediterranean coast. Launched in 2008, Versace Pour Homme is truly a modern classic in men’s designer fragrances. It\u2019s crisp, clean, and effortlessly masculine, while remaining extremely versatile and can be worn for almost any occasion, be it the workplace or date night, Spring or Fall. Although it does tend to excel in warmer weather, its citrusy overtones remain fresh and cool rather than becoming too heavy. It\u2019s surely determined to receive compliments without being overpowering, due to its relatively contained projection bubble, making it a scent that doesn\u2019t take over the entire room and desires the closeness to one’s body to truly enjoy it, making it all the more sensual because you find yourself wanting to be closer and closer to someone who\u2019s wearing it. Its top notes are a bright burst of citrus with fresh notes of Lemon, Bergamot, Neroli, and Rose de Mai. The heart continues to retain that freshness with rich florals such as Hyacinth and Geranium, but also starts to round itself out with more masculine notes like Clary Sage and Cedar. Then, finally, the fragrance base settles on a delicious, solid grounding of Musk, Amber, and Tonka Bean. This is a scent that I\u2019m sure Gianni Versace would be proud of, as it absolutely embodies the rich Italian feel that was always represented in his fashion aesthetic.
